• Click on the contact/request a consultation page and send me a message. I’ll respond over email and we will set up a time to have a free 15 minute consultation. If you feel we would be a good fit to work together, we’ll book our first appointment together.

  • I am currently only meeting with patients virtually, but will be opening an in-person office in Highland Park, Il on January 1st 2024. At that time, I will be available to meet in-person or virtually. Based on your needs, and treatment goals we can collaborate to decide together how best to structure our appointments.

  • I work with ages 16 and up.

  • As a psychiatrist working in solo private practice there are some conditions that need a higher level of care than I am generally able to offer. I do not typically manage active eating disorders, active substance use disorders, or psychotic disorders in my practice, but if you have specific concerns including these conditions and think we may still be a good fit to work together we can discuss that during our free consultation call.

  • I specialize in helping emerging adults, young professionals, and high functioning adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, unresolved trauma and personality pathology to connect with their emotions, to help navigate life’s transitions, and to feel more fulfilled. My work includes treating individuals who seek to integrate difficult experiences including early trauma, complex family relationships and religious and spiritual experiences that can stand in the way of growth and are often difficult to navigate alone.

  • I see people for therapy twice a week, weekly or every other week. I believe that meaningful therapeutic engagement requires a regular cadence to achieve your goals and I do not work with patients who need to meet less frequently than every other week.

  • It is difficult to give a precise answer, but we will typically meet for more frequent follow-ups at the beginning of treatment and if we are making active medication changes. As things stabilize we might see each other less frequently (every 1-2 months), but there is no set schedule for what our work together needs to look like and we will collaborate on finding the meeting interval that best fits your treatment goals.

  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy is an approach to therapy that seeks to help patients by emphasizing that the more honest one is able to be with themselves the better one’s ability becomes to lead a meaningful and satisfying life. This occurs through the cultivation of an increased capacity to acknowledge what is not yet fully conscious, and overtime integrate what is difficult or painful to see in oneself. In my practice this challenging yet generative work is engaged with in a warm therapeutic relationship that seeks to understand and not just pathologize as I believe firmly that symptoms contain the seeds of healing.
